WAM Youth runs a community youth group at Encounter Church, Winchcombe  on Tuesday nights for years 6 – 8 and on a Wednesday night for years 9 – 11 as well as a Kids Cafe group for years 3 – 6 at Encounter Church on a Thursday afternoon.  Please get in touch if you or your child would like to join any of the groups.

Our youth groups are all free, however parents/carers can sign up to support us with weekly donations through out 1000 coffees campaign, please see our Support Us page for more details.

School Yrs 6-8 Tuesdays 6-8pm

At our youth group we offer a variety of activities for young people. We usually have a hot meal available (jacket potatoes, tacos, pizza etc) and time in the Sports Hall for team games and challenges.

We have a staff team supported by Youth Work students and volunteers from WAM or Encounter Church who supervise actvities and support the young people. We follow a safe recruitment process for all staff and volunteers. We use the facilities at Encounter Church including a pool table, table tennis, air hockey and have plenty of space in which young people can hang out with their friends.

Throughout the year we run trips and events, e.g. we regularly go surfing, camping, we’ve been to lasertag, ice skating, played bubble football and been out for a meal.

School Yrs 3-6 Thursdays 3.30pm-5pm

Our Kids Cafe is designed to provide a safe supervised space for children in School Years 3-6 to hang out with their friends.

We offer lots of activities and games, have Lego and Art/Craft corners, trips out and provide a snack & drink. We also offer a walking bus from Winchcombe Abbey Primary School, email sophia@wamyouth.org.uk for information on this.

Last term we had great fun looking at travel, smell, neurons and static electricity and rivers, this term we will be looking at castles, dinosaurs, catapults and more!

Come along and join us!
