Calling all Home Educated Students!

We believe every child matters and every child should feel free in a safe space, being inclusive to all children is a key value in our charity and therefore your child is always welcome. This is something we can provide in our woodland during our sessions as our sessions allow your child to explore the woodland and learn new skills.

WAM offers two bespoke courses aimed at home educated pupils aged 8 and above to develop a wide range of skills in our woodland. These courses are instructor-led and  involve 3 sessions, once a month.

Level 1 involves: 9:30 – 11:30

  • Plant and Tree ID
  • Navigation by the Stars
  • Water filtration and purification
  • Basic fire lighting skills

Once your child has completed this course, they may progress onto our more indepth Level 2 course!

Level 2 involves: 12:30 – 2:30

  • Designing and creating an insect habitat
  • Basic health and safety of knife work
  • Carving a kitchen tool

Due to the Covid-19 lockdown and current guidelines- our dates have once again changed to 8th March and 15th March £12.50 per child.
