Community Youth Work

WAM Youth has run community youth group, elev8, in Winchcombe since 2013.

COVID-19

We are currently able to meet face to face, as safely and responsibly as possible. Regular changes to lockdown and tier restrictions mean we have had to keep changing the ways that we meet young people, but we have done our best to maintain relationships and to offer continuous support. Our staff and volunteers are working within our COVID-19 risk assessment and guidance. We are regularly reviewing this guidance in line with National Youth Agency Advice and Guidance (www.nya.org.uk).

Please abstain from sending your child to our sessions if they display any Covid-19 symptoms.

Youth Groups

Youth groups are meeting again during term time from September 14th at The Old Boys School in Winchcombe on Tuesday evenings!

We have a pool table, table tennis table, football, games, crafts, and some drinks and snacks available. We also have use of the Sports Hall for part of the evening.

School years 6-8 meet 5.30-7pm

School years 9-11 meet 6.30-8pm

Please fill out a consent form below, and/or contact Community Youth Worker carla@wamyouth.org.uk for more information!

Workshops and Specialist Interest Groups

Previously we have run smaller groups that are based around a particular area of interest. E.g in the past we’ve run a book group, girls groups, code club wilderness club, wellbeing group.

As part of our community consultation, we’re identifying people within the community who can run workshops and specialist sessions for young people.  Watch this space for information about these specialist events.
