"Pupils speak with pride about their involvement in ‘WAM Youth’, a local initiative that mentors young people, challenges discrimination and insists that, ‘We All Matter’."
Ofsted Report, Winchcombe School - December 2018
What is WAM Youth?
WAM (We All Matter) is a voluntary organisation based in Winchcombe, Gloucestershire. We run a variety of projects and services aimed at building and strengthening positive and supportive relationships within the community. These include youth groups and projects, mentoring, outdoor education and after school clubs and relationships and sex education.
At WAM we prioritise building trusted, transformative relationships in every project or service that we run. Please get in touch with us if you would like any information on any of our work/projects.
Regular changes to lockdown and tier restrictions mean we need to keep changing the ways that we meet young people, but we are doing our best to maintain relationships and to offer continuous support. Our staff and volunteers are working within our COVID-19 risk assessment and guidance. We are regularly reviewing this guidance in line with National Youth Agency Advice and Guidance (www.nya.org.uk).
